I wanted to provide a couple updates on recent events in the neighborhood!
1) Foundation for Tampa's Tomorrow: Formally announced last week, this is the Comprehensive Infrastructure for Tampa’s Neighborhoods Design Build project, better known as Foundation for Tampa’s Tomorrow. It includes water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation improvements in multiple neighborhoods (East Tampa, Forest Hills, MacFarlane Park and Virginia Park) within Tampa’s city limits.
–> WE ARE INCLUDED IN THE MacFarlane Park project! I've included photos of the map.
–> There will be some inconvenience when they have to tear up the roads, but some of the project will be done using advanced tech where they don't have to do that, so it will be a mix.

–> I am not sure on the timeline, just that we are in the first phase.
2) Grant-Funded Monument Update: I'm continuing to work with the City and our signage company to complete this project in a timely manner. I will hopefully have a new estimate this week and more info on funding so that we can move forward. I will let you all know what additional funds we need by Friday, so those of you who have offered to donate will have the opportunity. :) 3) River Clean-Up: Big thanks again to Styles and Michelle Wilson for hosting the River Clean-Up on Thursday last week! Awesome to see all of that trash removed from the Hillsborough River.
4) Easter Egg Hunt: Mandy and Karen put on a small but mighty Easter Egg Hunt down by the River on Sunday! It looks like the kids had a great time, and this is a fun new tradition that we can continue in the future.
